IP cameras on Hikvision Turbo HD 1.0 Hybrid DVR - should they show up with analog cameras in app?

Hi,

Does anyone have a Hikvision DS-71xx DS-72xx or DS-73xx hybrid DVR that you use with both analog and IP cameras?

We're trying to adopt IP cameras with our DS-7332HGHI - got our first one up and running, seems to be able to view from the DVR and record just like the analog cameras.

However, when trying to view the IP camera from the IVMS-4500 app, it doesn't show up with all the analog cameras - it's like it's not even there.

Does anyone have any idea why? I'm trying to figure out...

Platform access missing from Network options.

Hi there,

I am trying to connect my DS-7716NI-SP to the internet and under network, the Platform access option is missing.

The firmware that I am using is V3.4.3 build 160811.

I live in the UK.

Any advise would be gratefully appreciated.

Zoom Issue

I was replacing some key caps on my keyboard yesterday and I must have inadvertently messed up a setting. Apparently I had one of the 4 cameras selected in my DS-2CD6D54FWD-IZHS while I was doing this and it zoomed out of its normal FOV but when I went to zoom it back the camera will now either zoom all the way in or all the way out, no stopping in between. I use IVMS-4200 and I tested all my other cameras and they incrementally zoom normally.

Any suggestions much appreciated

About eight months ago I installed a Hikvision I-series NVR with eight 2355/2385 cams. I've always had three cams that set alarms on either intrusion or line crossing at both dawn and dusk each day. Those three cams are oriented the same direction, west, which is different than the remaining 5 cams. I've done all the tweaking I can think of to eliminate the false alerts to no avail. The false alerts have followed the changing times of dawn and dusk throughout the year. Reviewing recordings...

How do you get inside them if you need to?? Can you indeed get inside them?

The answer is Yes. You can.

I recently bought a new one and fried it by way of a schoolboy error. Wrong polarity on the power line. It took about 20 seconds to kill it as it turns out.

I now know it's fried having confirmed it by opening it up. Board looks ok but there is a single 680 muFarad 16v electrolytic capacitor inside which is blown.

I imagine it is actually possible to replace it once you get inside the...

Multiple Remote Screens

Hi all,
We recently installed 10 IP cameras (DS-2CD2346G1-I) connected to an NVR (DS-7616NI-K2/16P). We have 4 remote viewing screens across the store on multiple levels and we've used a Dell Optiplex (micro form factor) PC, Intel i5 CPU, running Windows 10 with 8GB of RAM. We've found that some units are struggling with running the Hikvision iVMS-4200 Lite to view the remote cameras on the displays (whether we connect to the camera directly or via the NVR). Sometimes after adding 1 camera...

NVR resetting itself

Hi I have a hikvision DS-7604NI-SE-P the dvr keeps rebooting I thought it was the hard drive as it only reboots it self once every month about the same date. But now the dvr is rebooting itself every ten minutes or so. So I bought a new hard drive tryed to format it but can't get onto it because when the dvr reboot you can go into the menu put the password in then the mouse freeze and will not do anything then the dvr reboots itself again any one had this issue cheers jason

I need to start / stop video recording and save on local SD CARD on my Cube Cam (DS-2CD2442FWD) using API.
I have read the manual but seems that the command to register are based only on event (Smart, Line ecc).

Any suggestion?

I'm using a network monitoring app, but for the life of me I can't get SNMP working, using v1, v2c, or v3. HIK want's a trap address, but this isn't typically require for our other devices that we are monitoring (50+). I'm unable to snmpwalk the camera from the server running our monitoring software. I'm justing seeing probe/cred failures in my debug logs.

Hi there forum , This cam is motion to app activated has fine strips of l.e.ds on the lil box unit,
full detail there , unit comes with a plug power lead that's it , now thing is , having severe wifi problems and its just sticking or just blank screens or freezing , the cam as in video as can see it has no ethernet socket... router is at closest area in house that can get to outside ,

Question is ... would/could there be any kind of hack splice or...

PTZ Control over Internet

Hi Folks,

I have a random notion I need some advice/help with.

I have numerous DVRs I manage in various locations over the country.
All DVRs can be viewed using a generic CMS program on my windows laptop.

My query is, could I connect an RS232/RS485 joystick to my laptop in some way, to send the signal over internet to a specific DVR?
Or will I need to use the pain in the backside point and click interface on the CMS?

The DVRs are Floureon branded.

Morning all!

I am using Hikvision DVR with 8 Dome cameras, i can view all the cameras on the desktop client of IVMS but on my phone it states "Device is Offline" any ideas how i can fix?

The IP addresses match on both bits of software.

I have tried on both Android and IOS.

My DVR model is DS-7208HWHI-K1

Thank-you in advance for all your wonderful support and guidance- I've been reading almost every post related to this new setup but having issue - mores, stumbles...

I bought this DVR unit DS-7208HGHI-SH from a supplier who was replacing his Video Surveillance to a newer model.

First of all please can i say that i am far from technically minded when it comes to this so please bear with me.

i have a DS-7204HQHI-SH DVR , Virgin Media, using No-IP for DDNS as i use ivms 4500 on my mobile phone.

all was working fine until about 4 days ago when i failed to connect on my phone. nothing that i know of had chained vrigin or NOIP wise. the dvr and cameras are still working and recording but i cannot see them on my phone.

within the setting on the DVR it says connection...
