I'm intending to install a 24 camera strong system on our farm. I recently installed 8 x Ubiquity unifi AC mesh units, so we now have fairly good coverage all over the area.
Now we need to install a camera & DVR system, we need a total of 24 cameras. Hi,
I have a Hikvision DS-2CD1240-I IP camera connected to the same network as my PC, using an ethernet cable connected to the pigtail connector of the camera. (Ethernet seems to power the camera)
The red lights turn on for about 30 seconds after connecting the ethernet cable to the camera. However, the SADP Tool is not able to detect the camera.
ipconfig also doesn't show the IP address.
Did anyone face the same issue? Any help is appreciated.

Hi all,
Been lurking on this forum for months just taking in all the information but now I finally have a query regarding subnets.
Yesterday I replaced by dying RG59+2 setup of 8 cams and a Hikvision DVR with a DS-7616NI-I2 (Non-POE) NVR and a range of Hikvision cameras (again 8 in total).
Everything is up and ready to be connected to a network.

We are looking to get a new cctv system installed. We liked the look of the Hikvision ones.
One camera will be on the back of the house but low down due to cover a newly built extension spanning the back of the house and the other high up on the 1st floor under the soffit looking down on the drive etc.

Hi all. Hopefully a quick one if you’ll bear with me; I previously had a 4 channel Hikvision NVR (DS-7604NI-K1-4P(B)) and upgraded it to the 8 channel equivalent (DS-7608NI-K2-8P) as it’s predecessor was struggling to cope with the 4nr cameras running at 4K and kept randomly rebooting multiple times per day.
The new NVR has been setup with identical settings as the previous and everything is working as expected with the exception of the Hik-Connect app (note: all firmware is up to date).

Hello guys,
I recently bought a NVR and exterior IP camera IP4 from HikVision. When the night-vision kick-in one of the camera that is 10 cm close to a white wall capture only the white wall and nothing else, everything else is black around, I think because the wall is so bright. I mention that the camera is installed parallel with one wall and the position cannot be changed. Is there any workaround for this particular problem?

Hi have new DS-7604NI-K1/4P(B) after couple months of trying everything under sun it still keeps rebooting at random. Its only running three cameras on POE 1 x ds-2cd2785fwd-izs and 2 x ds=2cd2385fwd-i 2.8mm. the hdd is new Seagate 4tb surveillance and all the cabling in new. Updated 26th November to clarify setting and use of encryption key / verification code.
Seen as a pop-up at the bottom right screen corner in your browser when trying to access a video stream from a HikVision camera to Live View it/them on your HikVision NVR.
There is another version of the message - "

I have a 2 camera setup on a Herospeed XVR, the issue I am currently having is that I cannot see anything past 12am last night, there is no ability to scrub past that.
I've checked all the settings in the XVR but cannot find an appropriate one, anyone have any experience with these?

This site has been of great help to me. I have a problem i have not been able to locate on any of the threads however. Bought a DS-2DE4225IW-DE head and installed. On the very 1st night extreme storm blew in and water seeped into the POE connector located close to the head. My own fault for having not water proofed better. The result after just 1 night saw the ethernet plug male&female almost melted. The lins were covered in the kind of muck you find after leaving such a connection...

Getting the following error message on playback, both on iPhone, iPAD and PC with Ezviz & Hik Connect (latest versions) Not been able to check Android yet, "You have reached the maximum connections/No more access to device allowed, please try again later". NVR is Hikvision DS-7608HI-E2/8P/A, with 7 x DS-2CD2042WD-I 4MM. Any help much appreciated.

I have one of the above cameras which generally works very well. However, most days I get one or more emails generated by the camera with no attached files and the message:
"This message cannot be displayed because of the way it is formatted. Ask the sender to send it again using a different format or email program.
multipart/mixed"
There is no video recorded at the time the message is sent.
Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix/ setting I'm missing. This new camera...

I'm running several DS-2CD2085FWD-I cameras (FW V5.5.83 build 190221) in a new building for some days. I'm observing foogy day view problems and don't know at the moment what this caused.
Please see attached pictures - you can also see that the problem gets worse even during the afternoon. Kamera 4, Kamera 8.1 and Kamera 5.
I also have a DS-2CD2685FWD-IZS mounted on the same building looking at another direction - here the pictures is clear without foogy problems (Kamera 8)

Hello,
I have a DS-7732NI-I4 / 24P.
Is zero channel only available to admin? It won't work for any other users I setup.
I want to setup a user so that they can basically only watch that channel because I can control the bandwidth via the zero channel encoder settings.

Hikvision have just released new firmware for their -K (B) NVRs V3.4.100:

This firmware is only for recent 7604 -K NVRs with a (B) suffix in their part code.

The NVR is on a cellular data plan (for remote viewing). I was hoping I would be able to limit the users' to only view sub channels with lower bitrates. This in turn would make the cellular data plan (10 GB per month, but would be willing to spend up to 20 GB) last much, much longer.
If the user goes into single screen mode then they get the main channel stream (currently set to 1080p). The bandwidth usage is about 4 Mbit/s. That's recording...

Hi, I have a DS-7604NI-K1 / 4P(B) on firmware version V3.4.100 build 180310 which is the latest listed for the device.
I have my cameras wired directly to the NVR for POE to power them, I have enabled virtual host to enable me to change configuration on the cameras or just view them directly.
All works well and as it should but every few weeks virtual host unticks itself within the NVR so I cant then connect to the cameras, so I login to the NVR and tick it again and save the config.
