Push Notification for Newbie

I've tried searching but couldn't find any new(ish) valid threads that solve my issue (DVR and app type)

I have the DS-7208HQHI-K2 / 8A DVR.
firmware: V3.5.37 build 180801

I am using the "Hik-Connect" android mobile application, "Message Push Notification" under settings is enabled and even has the "intense" sound set

UPnP is enabled and everything is valid.


Email and audio alerts are working well.... But I really do need to get push notifications working.
