I am in the process of looking to update an 22 camera analogue system to IP.
We are a large 8 storey building and with the analogue system we have coax cables running all over the building back to the DVR. We are hoping with an IP system we can group the cables to switches and have a limited number of cables running back to the NVR.
My question is - if we purchase an NVR with, say, 16 POE ports, but we don't want to have a direct link to every camera from the NVR, can we send say 8...
